Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 94 points

  • Tasting of Janzen/Bacio Divino wines hosted by Kyle Janzen. Dark ruby fruit - red and black currants, blackberry, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with decent depth/concentration, however, this wine needs some more time to soften/open-up - although I’m sure a decent decant would have helped as well. Nice vibrant flavors of cassis, cocoa, some spice, and a little mineral/graphite component. Decent finish but not overly long nor deep - it also could use some more time to open-up with the finish. I believe the 95 rating from Dunnuck makes sense with some more time - a couple more years in my opinion. 100% cab.
