Wines of the Camino de Santiago; 9/13/2022-10/19/2022 (Northern Spain): This was a btg pour at a wine bar. The nose is balanced with dark red cherries, raspberries, licorice, spice notes, tobacco leaf, violets, currants, toast, herbs, and some cedar box. The Medium/full bodied feel shows off some good weight with tart, medium+ acidity along with chewy and grainy, medium+ tannins. This probably could use a couple of years to round into form, but it’s also not a real long term wine either. The tannins are just a bit too rough and it lacks a slight bit of depth on the nose and palate.
