Lunch at the Librije (Zwolle, NL): [Restaurant purchase] No detailed note. Needed 15 min in carafe to open up. Felt like a combination of both reduction and oxidation. Quite ripe, but with piercing acidity

great nose - apricot, cream, butterscotch and even a hint of mint mouth - agree this is quite ripe, lots of stone fruit, and while it has good acidity, its really the ripe perhaps even surripe pit fruit that leaves the lasting impression on the palate. a piece of parmigiano-reggiano really brought this into its element.

Ganevat at Chedi: This was clearly the ripest out of all the wines tonight, with a rounder texture with obvious honey notes. A little more developed than I expected for its age, but like the other wines this got much better with air. Enjoyable but the next two were a step up in terms of intensity and depth.

A bit more reductive than I'm used to with Ganevat but my general thought was that this was excellent for the price as its a lower priced domaine offering. I'll probably hold my other bottles for another 1-2 years though. This is my first 2018 Jura white so perhaps it’s a facet of the vintage but there was enough minerality and fruit to balance the weight of the wine. Serve cold.

Still young. A mix of straightness, acidity, with some jammed apples. Give it 2-3 years. Nice wine.
