Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 94 points

  • PnP. ABV 14%. €217 before taxes and shipping charges. Spices, oaks, and flower notes, maybe even slight hints of dark soils. Nothing wild about this Mazis, at least not at this stage but I am certain those wild notes will show up eventually as the wine matures. Sometimes I wonder if it’s better off to drink Mazis on the younger side unless you really enjoy those animalistic notes. Fine grained tannins, fairly approachable with its primary fruits. Ripe fruits with mouth watering acidity, no hint of alcohol at backend, good balance. Undoubtedly well made wine, quite drinkable at the moment. On the second day, with primary fruits receded, more dark soils emerged and also showing some warmth at finish reflecting the hot vintage. 93-95 pts.
