Base 2018, DG23, I was told by the merchant. Youthful and foamy. took a while to open up and even better on day two. I recommend to decant this in a carafe if you open the 2023 release. Precise palate with citrus, pear, good mouth feel, sappy low dosage finish, very precise, delineated and long, no sugar/brioche kick whatsoever. More Puligny than classic Brut Champagne. For the purists. Would need to add a little more complexity for a higher score though. May be a bit of bottle age could help.

Consumed over 3 hours. Typical Lassaigne — continuous improvement with air and best at the end. Moderate+ flavors of spicy pear, pastry, faint notes lemon, and a long finish. Moderate+ complexity. Upside.

This wine is ripe and expressive, much more developed than anticipated at this stage. Weight to this BdB with a clean lift at the end. A Champagne to stand up to a rich dish like foie gras and not shy away.
