Dark fruit, maybe a bit of pepper and licorice as well. Took a while to open up even after using the OXO aerator, decent structure and texture once it did.

Hari Raya Haji 2013 (Lei Garden & Dakota): Poured through Vinturi into decanter and served. Light fruity nose. Fruit forward on the palate but light, smooth, and restrained. Not much complexity though. Medium finish. This has settled well after 10 years of age. Drinking well. No reason to keep any longer.

Floral with some earth on the nose, lots of red fruit on the palate with mellow tannins and a note of dark chocolate. Not much depth, however. Like many of the Aussie 03 reds I've tried (regardless of region or varietal), this seems a bit watered down.
