It’s really fresh and vigorous on the palate, truckloads of tannin, mouth-puckering acidity, beautiful fruit concentration, not quite integrated yet but balance and huge potential. No sense of over-ripeness.
  I think of 2011 as a ripe early-drinking vintage but there’s none of that here. Very serious wine.
