A private dinner (Restaurant 4850, Amsterdam, NL): Bottle No. 283 from 578 bottles produced. Rich black fruit, initially slightly Rhône-like on the nose, spicy and meaty, ripe but balanced by refreshing acidity, powerful and weighty but not overly alcoholic (13.5% ABV), red cherries and a hint of peach, hint of pepper from the stems, flowing finish, very good length.

Needs 2 hours of air. A really serious Bourgogne.
