  • Purchased from The Bottle List

I'm always looking for "new to me" producers to explore so I took a flyer based on the reviews. Classic Cornas flavors lurking in the shadows of this young wine. With an extended splash decant into a wide base decanter this blossomed with air. In my estimation this will be at it's best with another 3-4 years of bottle age to get some of the more savory aspects of this wine.

  • Very dense and purple. Initially opened with some olive notes and dark fruit, but that gave way to a more monolithic taste that suggests it may just be way too early to really get a handle on this wine.

  • A deep, saturated purple colour. The nose is savoury, with smoked meat, freshly tilled earth and purple flower notes. There's a core of briary fruits and layers of interesting flavours. Tannins are ripe, it has an inky quality and a stony, long finish.
