Chantereves Dinner (Flor Wines, Portland OR): The nose is aromatic with a savory side to the tones of red fruits, red cherries, raspberries, dark red fruits, spice notes, crushed rocks, fresh herbs, dark red fruits, violets, and some wild flowers. There is a lovely, open-knit quality to the nose that is fresh and enticing. The Medium bodied feel shows off good balance and freshness with crisp, medium+ acidity and silky, medium tannins. This has that 20 intensity to the fruit and there is good balance across the nose and palate. This does feel like it has room to grown and open up with a few years of aging.

Day 1: Light-moderate aromas. Fresh moderate red and dark fruit, earthy hints. Light tannins, with light-moderate structure imparted by the stems. Recorked 1/2 bottle. Day 2: Some obvious mousiness. Same profile otherwise. Recorked. Day 7: Light hint of mousiness that seemed to fade away with just a little bit of air. No obvious depth added. Not sure what to think of this.
I have detected mousiness across some of the other bottlings and vintages; however, I am sensitive.

A private dinner with friends (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Marvellous freshness, fruit and purity, very youthful and mildly yeasty, completely natural but clean as a whistle, mild tannins, silky fruit, long and flowing finish, roses and strawberries.

Overrated. A pretty nose with violets and florals, but lacking either the structure for the long haul or the complexity to justify its price point if consumed immediately. Somewhat thin and green.

Pure, fresh, fragrant, stems, flowers, juicy and creamy red berries, supple and sweet, low tannins, very good length. Quite stunning in its way, but where is the structure for ageing? Or is it so well hidden, that I can't see it? At restaurant Slagerij De Beurs, Amsterdam, NL.
