  • Not quite as good as some of the previous iterations of this -- it's a little dilute and not quite as intensely pear-flavoured. More tart, with a bit of a diffuse quality here. Still delicious in the way Granit is, but I've preferred some of the older vintages (at the same age) more.

  • Fine bubbles and fruity nose.

Coated mouth, very fruity, with good acidity, it is fluid and pleasant with a short but impactful finish.

It's good, but is it a good deal given current prices?

  • I had been looking forward to tasting this for some time, and finally the moment seemed right. It opened with a satisfying pop. But the taste was a big disappointment, smooth and with a touch of sweetness, but far too soft to be of any interest. I kept it in the fridge under N2, but nights two and three brought no change. Finally the next day, with only a bit left, there was a noticeable increase in acidity, which brought the whole thing into focus. It even went fairly well with sushi. Overall, I still prefer Bordelet's Argelette (cider, not perry) but at least there is some hope for this Granit.
