This wine was not bad. Some decent nose, though influenced by the american oak I think (french is used as well, not sure of the %). At times there was a touch of coffee on the palate which was good, and some sour cherry. The finish was fair if you held the wine in your mouth for a bit, but you had too because the midpalate was a bit hollow and tart and a normal drink was unsatisfying. The problem with that is that this wine didn't really have the stuffing to linger properly in the mouth. Overall not bad, but the fruit tended a bit too much towards tartness, cranberry, and the wine itself could use a bit more lushness or body. and I say that not as a devotee of a rich style, just that this was a bit too watery for balance. Still, not bad, and much better than many of the supermarket competition. OK at < $10, not more.

blueberries and vanilla nose, but light. Oak and vanilla, dark fruit is a bit hidden, and a touch of earth. Short finish, nothing wonderful, but a good QPR at only 11 bucks.

Not bad for $11. A good, solid red blend.
