Solid alvarinho or alvarinho. Needs a bit of time and warmth to open up. Starting drinking and it was shutdown. Opened up when it was closer to 50 degrees F and about 30 mins. Then the citrus, pineapple and salinity come out.

Okhuysen-Proeven tussen de Stellingen (to taste between the racks): a bit salty bouquet, followed by a firm taste and a whiff of sugar in the finish, but I think that it will disappear with some bottle age.

Had this wine with a brilliant stone bass filet in the highly recommended restaurant Luar da Foia, Monchique, Algarve, Portugal.
12,5% Alc., pale yellow color.
Nose: Yellow stone fruit, peach.
Palate: Crisp acidity, lemon zest, quite mineral and surprisingly dry mouth feel regarding the low alcohol level, good flow, straight. May be lacks depth, complexity and length to be outstanding. Good food accompaniment to our grilled stone bass.
Nevertheless lots of pleasure for the money and a good choice with fish and seafood to our lunch.
