Very enjoyable and a steal at $25. Interesting nose, I get a bit of anise. Some melon and floral flavors, more ripe than acidic. Will seek out again as a summer BBQ option.

This is plumper, riper, and more tropical than the fiano d’avellino wives I’ve tasted recently. I taste lots of sweet mango and tangerine with a light hoppy finish. It’s not outrageously Californiafied, but it doesn’t taste Italian either. I’ve drunk a few vintages of this wine and enjoyed them all.

My first taste of a Fiano grape. Definitely full bodied with a silky smooth texture and viscosity. Has a touch of honey and stone fruits. Really an interesting varietal. Really glad I tried. Must try more from this Italian varietal leaning winery in Paso Robles.

Crisp and light citrus with full mouthfeel but nothing cloying or malolactic like over oaked Chard. Very clean finish, touch or lemon and mineral. Much more sophisticated and fuller than some northern Cali Fiano I’ve had, which seems to run more lean. Giornata are truly wondrous with Italian varietals. Drink now or hold a few years more, but you’ll be missing out.
