Birthday lunch (Porcine, Oxford Street): Savoury, slight struck match reductiveness, fresh, rocky minerality, slight dilute black fruits. Medium plus intensity acidity, slight more red hued fruit on the palate, talc textured burr is quite mineral in quality. Nice.

Dressner import. Very transparent color, delicate on appearance. Almost pink. Aroma -- christmasy, potpourri, orange slice. Palate - strawberry with cranberry, very floral. A wild, untamed wine. Very delicate on palate as well. 12.5%. I pegged as 13.2. It is a little warm and the delicate nature lets some seep through. A little barnyard thing going on. Excellent QPR. Teroldego grape. Put in fridge under repour. Day 2: more robust texture a little more funk. Held up well.

Zippy but well balanced with plenty of dark fruits, and a fabulous aroma of violets and black currant and leather. So easy to drink. Yum.
