This made quite a remarkable progression. When just opened on day one, this was quite restrained and serious, earthy with darker fruit. On day 3, this showed quite open with sweeter red fruit (more recognisable as new world), some oak influence and flowers. Nice wine.

Storm has been a house favourite since we visited, and this youngster was a good reminder. Although very young, the wine opened up with some air and showed a beautiful nose of red fruit, a touch of vanilla and oak and some spice. On the palate this was initially a bit rough but it mellowed out a bit with some air. In a few years time this will be great (so buy some now!) Rating for drinking now, with one or two points upside.

Pale ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with raspberry, red cherry, cocoa, violet and rose petal. Medium taste of raspberry, red cherry, cocoa and dried herbs. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Light tannins. Medium body. A very good South African Pinot Noir. Drink now or over the next three years. Goes well with duck, poultry, pork or veal.

Very nice Pinot from SA. Sweet strawberries, vanilla and some spices. Can image that this will develop nicely over time.

Tasted at Storm winery. Light, elegant red fruits, integrated and elegant use of oak. Stunning wine!
