Amsterdam based wine lover interested in discovering the world of wine. Currently love drinking German Riesling in all its glorious forms, Pinot Noir from around the world, Bordeaux, and the odd prime example of wines from other parts of the world.

I don't know how this is possible, but this wine was very different from the same vintage bottling I had end of last year. I concur with Xavier's note below, and especially the notes of bruised apple, linen, was and salinity were notably stronger. I really really loved this, but wonder how this wine can be so different.

Score for drinking now, but this is destined for greatness. Popped and poured, and it showed very elegantly, notes of olives, blackberry, pepper, eucalyptus, mint, not overripe or rich, but elegance and finesse.

2021 Storm Wines (South Africa) Chardonnay Ridge

This is doing really well already, just give it a bit of air in a big glass and you'll have lots of enjoyment. Really elegant use of oak, creamy lemon, white flowers, good acidity, beautiful! Will have one or two points upside with time.
