I was incredibly surprised at how full bodied and robust this wine was when I first tried it. Comes out of the bottle with a medium saffron yellow color. The nose is complex right from the first approach, with telltale signs of ripe fruits, notably pear, apricot, as well as lime zest, and yuzu. The palate has a nice weight to it now - still fresh and vibrant yet starting to show some depth. Finish is impressive with some mellow quince playing nicely against the acidity that is still very present. I tasted this along side some very nice GGs and was impressed with how this held its own. This is a blend of their hillside fruit that doesn’t go into the Grand Crus, and struck me as a terrific wine at its price point. Tasted over two nights with consistent notes. Unfortunately doesn’t seem to be available in the U.S.

Cru Wines Trade Tasting (Bentley Bar & Restaurant, Sydney): Savoury, mineral, muted apple, slight citrus. Floral top notes. Medium plus intensity acidity, mineral texture, long, savoury, muted fruit here but more about structure.
