Nebbiolo of vineyards located on the hill of Bricco del Drago in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio di Alba, in the production area of Nebbiolo d'Alba, on the border of the Barbaresco area, and planted in 1967 - 1989 - 1999. Pot with skins for 10/12 days, fermentation and aging in oak barrels for a year. Black and red fruit, spices, violets, tasty, delicate, of good length and persistent. Great value.

Knights of Alba (KOA) NY Intronization - May 2023 (NY Private Club): As this is a wine that is meant to be a single sip before you get your medallion and are officially ‘knighted’ it was a more basic style. I can love a good Nebbiolo d’Alba though as they can be really nice and classic drinking and that fruit with the high acid is right in my wheelhouse. This was more muted. Less fruit. A bit more tea leaves. Not quite the sharp acidity. Drinking totally fine.

Noble Nebbiolo masterclass with Poderi Colla at 67PM. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of strawberry, bright sour red cherry, fresh cut grassy earth. Youthful. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium+ alcohol, firm medium+ almost high tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of strawberry, bright red cherry, ripe raspberry, underlying fresh earth. Medium+ finish with good grip. Very good quality Nebbiolo d'Alba. Appreciable young.
