  Well. I don’t really ‘do’ sparkling wines or rosé, but here we are. It’s lovely. More orange than pink now. Tertiary notes of honey, candied fruits, vanilla still mix well with cherry and red fruit. Full body, fine mousse. Pronounced intensity, lovely balance, medium tannin and a lovely long finish.

  Generously served by a friend as aperitif, we had no idea what to expect as this is such an unusual wine. The title implies it is a sparkling pinot noir rose and that's what it looked like when poured. Looking fresh despite its 14 years, the bubbles were fine and there were hints of honey on the nose. The palate was soft, sliky and quite full bodied. Overall, a very interesting sparkling wine and a rare treat.
