  • A short 35mm natural cork enclosure which surprised me. 8.5% alcohol which led me to expect a greater degree of sweetness than was apparent - I'd go for medium sweet or off-dry. Zero sediment. Pale brick in colour. Med intensity nose.. It yields tertiary notes of raisins and dried fruit but still hangs onto cherry, strawberry, plum along with sweet spice. Med(+) intensity on the palate and a medium finish. However... what this does have is balance. It's a very well made wine whose drinking window is closing. Unless you like full-on tertiary in which case, hang on in there.

  • Bought to me by a friend and we shared with chilli con carne. This exceeded my expectations. Still appearing very fresh. Colour light plum. Strawberries on the nose and palate. Quite long and a good balance of acidity. Overall it was good. But I'm told it was quite pricey, so subjective whether it's worth the money.
