Who am I to turn down international wine day! I have three vintages of Five Rows’ sauvignon blanc in the cellar and decided to try the 2021 as the winemaker says its style sits somewhere between the 2019 and 2020 vintages.
Interesting, lifted aromas with a tropical backbone of melon and pineapple, balanced nicely by a soft vanilla and lemon curd.
Palate shows lively acidity and truly exceptional length.
Flavours trend just slightly tarter adding Meyer lemon and key lime to more subtle tropical notes.
