Primarily Sangiovese with some Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon blended in. Dark ruby color with a slight brick rim. Extremely savory aromas of forest floor, wet soil, violets and wild herbs. The palate features mushroom, black cherry/raspberry/plum jam, coffee, dark chocolate and baking spices. A nutty note on the long and persistent finish. Well rounded tannins and medium-plus bodied. Quite leafy and earthy. Fruit is more of a background component. Needs a long decant.

Sight: Medium garnet Nose: raspberry, rose (floral), earthy tomato Palate: plenty of tannins but not over drying, medium full body, decent amount of acidity After letting this wine open up for about 1.5 hours, more fruit flavors appeared and lost some earth flavors. Remarks: this was an okay wine for the price point, finish was unremarkable

1st bottle from a 6 pack. Pretty yet rustic, showing a red-fruited profile, alongside savory herbs and soil notes. Brilliant acidity and tannin structure, with a medium length finish, replete with red cherry fruit and earth tones. Drink through 2027+.

Hints of herbs and funk to start, restrained fruit, but drying astringent tannins on finish ruin it.

Not drinking as well as the '16 but still very solid. The finish is rather astringent, should soften with age.
