No notes taken. Much better, much more Pinot Noir than the Joy Road (86pts) in the next glass. Cooler, fresher style with beautiful red berries, some vegetal and earthy aromas and quite an impressive minerality compound. Fine strucutre, good freshness, well balanced.

During a merchant tasting, no detailed tasting notes. Sweeter and riper than the Joy Road but aromatically not more complex. In general, I found the wines of this producer fresh and pleasant but a touch too fruity for being a serious Pinot.

Tasted at a merchant event, only brief notes: A cooler climate site which shows in the cooler fruit profile when compared to the Joy Road. Adds nice spice and mineral facets. The palate is appropriately round and impresses with a layered sweet fruit profile.

Cranberry, smoke and orange peel on the nose. Great expression of a well balanced Sonoma Pinot in my opinion. Fine textured with a flowing rush of acidity. Sour cherry and red plum on the palate. The fruit seems measured and linear from the start through to the finish which is quite long and pleasant.

My second time with this new offering, this time I was able to drink through the whole bottle. Great Sonoma coast style, dark fruited, lush and ripe style California pinot. Already has good complexity, with notes of orange rind, ripe cherries with great acidity. Best years are to come
