  • Dark purple color. Lush exotic cassis, dark fruit, velvety, spice bouquet. Medium to full bodied with very concentrated fruit with a fleshy velvety mouthfeel. Lots of tannins. Long finish. Flavors of cassis, spice, dark fruits, fresh earth, lots of minerals, blackberry, cherry, dark plums, hints of dark chocolate. Approachable now but with the fruit, tannins, acid, and structure. Drink now to 2029, likely to 2034 (possibly to 2039). Excellent QPR. Cellar selection. Fun and enjoyable to drink. This winery, when good, is one of my favorites, especially for the money

  • After a 2016 which seemed a little different, they're back on spot with this 2019. Dark color. Expolosive plush velvety cassis, dark berries, sweet earth bouquet. On the palate, rich, concentrated with load of fruit and plenty of tannins. Well balanced. The fruit is prominent enough it is approachable now, but has the tannins and structure for mid term ageing. Flavors of cassis, dark plums, fresh earth, olives. Long finish. Best from 2027-2034, possibly longer. Great QPR. If you are a fan of this wine as I am, you will be very pleased.
