This is a wild one dawgg. Never had either of these grapes before so not sure what to expect.
Nose is all over the place, from butter from the malo, to Torrontes-style nutmeg, to ripe cantaloupe and unripe pear for fruit, mandarin orange zest, honey, asparagus and pea shoots. No nose quite like it that I've experienced.
The fruit seems to vanish from the palate, which is somewhat round but given backbone from the acidity, which is both linear and fans out in gentle waves. You can taste the nutmeg on the palate for sure, but the rest is green and pleasantly bitter, and almost minty? Like spearmint. When eating this with food I agree with some users that the finish was short-ish, but after dinner I had another half glass and found the finish much longer. Very unusual.
I like the unusual, so I rated this well, and am honestly surprised that this wine is consistently rated as mediocre. Different strokes I suppose. Try it!

Rich, fresh and bone dry, this had characters of passion fruit laced with pepper and spice. I loved the savoury character but a tad warm on the finish. CHP 87

The enclosure has shrunk from the last vintage. It’s now a 40mm Nomacork (plastic, reyclable natch) from 45mm. Pale gold in colour. Usual enticing notes of guava, melon, honeysuckle, mango, white pepper and orange. Medium intensity on the nose but pronounced on the palate. High acidity, medium body. The length is slighly driven by acidity. As the fruit dies there’s a slight bitterness right at the end. It’s a food wine really but still my go-to glugger at this price point.
