  I take a sniff – are we sure this is wine, not an iced mocha? That continues in the palate, with more mocha, espresso, chocolate, and some raspberry, mulberry, and other dark fruit notes. But hey! Espresso oakiness is one of my favorite oakinesses, and it matches the game and black pepper notes on the finish. It gets fruitier over time, with more blackberry and preserved cherry coming out, but that espresso bass note never fully lets go. Rhoney goodness with a barista twist.

  Hmmm...only one " pro" rating at 81 points..
  must have been an off bottle.
  On nose: damp earth, dried roses and iron filings.
  On palate: all above flavour notes accounted for, and after a 2 hour decant( a must) floral notes of lavender, rosemary, blueberry pastilles, and dried beef, on a taut medium body, bolstered by firm acidity....as good as the 2020 , reviewed 18 months ago....went perfectly with spicy pasta puttanesca.
