I was expecting a bit more body and certainly more Rousanne presence, but this managed well enough as a food wine. Lime, peach, apple and minerals dominate the subtle nose. Could have used a bit more body and structure, but it was clean and managed decent acid lift in the end. Drink now, it's not going to get any better. Approx $40 on wine list.

Pesquié stand for complex wines, no doubt. The terroir and pedigree in this wine is undeniable, expressed in its elegant bouquet of great minerality and subtle almond, french baggette crust and white flowery aromas. Full bodied, intense in flavor, quality, complexity, structure, minerality, a splash of oak. Good, long finish that leaves you with shells and sea salt.

70% Roussanne, 30% Clairette. Pitted fruits with a touch of zip. Nice. Moderately dry. ( D 5.5, F 6.5; Cent, E. Solomon)
