My first of the ‘21 SBC’s. Pop and poured. Big fruit, but a little tangy acidity and some tannic bitterness on the finish. Not super complex. Not as good as some previous years. As it opened with air, the tannins increased and it ultimately wasn’t that good. Kind of a disappointment. These appellation level wines are usually spot on. I am going to say too young. Hold.

Not as good as other vintages. Pass on this one, and wait for the 2022's.

Bright red fruit nose; smooth spice on the palate; medium finish. By the glass with lunch at the Honor Bar in Santa Barbara.
