10% abv. 57° F in the cup at first; the second pour was better and 54° (12°C.) Approximately Kellerbier in color. NOSE: volunteer with muddled ripe apricots, charred grapefruit peel, and white pepper. MOUTH: grip; limeseed musk; a massive, open bloom of nuts and lagoon. Thoroughly dry, it retraces stridently scented bruises of apricot, peach, plum jams, marzipan, and sake. The tannins here are a finely milled, dynamic object, casually dispensing cool sensations of blueberries and steel. Quenching dunes of limestone and turkey biltong. Acidity is thoroughly embroidered in the tannin/mineral structure. This wine is uniquely successful. What can it be compared to? The most accomplished orange wines I know are much boozier, and the best low-abv wines I know are more restrained and pointed. I never drank this cuvée more than a year after the vintage date. With an extra two years on it, I can sense nothing lost, and maybe nothing gained—but certainly development, and wild curiosity. ________ 24 hours later left resealed in the fridge. Drinks good. It tastes like sheer and weathered pear pulp.

Fresh, aromatic and kinda heavy on the nose, offering ripe mango, rosehip marmelade, orange blossom, freshly pressed oranges, passionfruit, citra hops, dried apricot, peel from Meyer lemons and hints of lychee and lemongrass. A quite perfumed flower power thing too… It’s medium-bodied with medium acidity and crunchy, fine tannins. Nice creamy mouthfeel from the lees. It’s very fruit-forward with notes of freshly pressed apple must, mango puré, dried papaya, ripe nectarine, pineapple, sweet tangerine, mild acacia and dried apricot. There’s a mild, delicate green touch from the stems.

Hazy, unfiltered orange wine. Nose of white stone fruit, jasmine, tangerine, tropical notes and some funk from the lees. Light bodied and supremely well balanced - white flowers, peach, grapefruit rind, tangerine, with a pleasing saline and wet stone finish. Went down too easily with roasted chicken, potatoes, and feta.

Tropical and uncomplicated. Lovely juice!
