  • Nearly 2 years since my last bottle. This needed about 30 min in the glass to fully open and then it was a well balanced, inviting wine that paired well with scallops. Some green apple after 30 min but by 2 hours this reminded me of a recent 2012 Didier Dagueneau which was like licking river rock and chalk. The finish on this is quite long. These are in their prime but should continue to drink well for another 3-4 years. Revisit 2026

  • Very interesting wine that needed quite some time in the glass to show itself. A mix of unusual grapes including 50% muscatel. It's quite smooth and elegant with a fine bead of acidity and a developing, tingly complexity. It really grew on me...

  • Trinity Wines tasting (Stavros Niarchos): Muscadelly (mostly) and Sauvignon gris
Different in style than other Bordeaux whites
Interesting, floral, herbal, citrus, pear scented, green apple
Palate is different, gutsy, nice teture, apple skin, pear, grapefruit, nice acidity, med body, med to long finish. Interesting

  • Great to try this after a bunch of Palmer reds. Medium golden in the glass. Bit of reduction at first, but not overpowering in any sense. Aromas of lemon curd, peach, nectarine, orange blossom, nettle. Medium-bodied with a bright, high acidity and long finish. Touch of salinity in there as well. Good stuff, really well-made, but would I be paying $300+ for this. Nah mate.

  • This needs about an hour in the glass to open up. I would have guessed sauv blanc. This is extremely light and well balanced with a nice finish. This is a wine meant to be drank poolside or with sushi. Supply and demand dictates a high price but arguably this might be justified. Such a unique wine. This is already in its prime but will easily drink well for 5 more years.
