Drinking quite well now. Really pretty tart cranberry fruit. Needs some food, but really has the acidity and fruit to work well at the table. No danger of being over the hill, easily 5 years left. With all of the 09 hype, nice to drink a more "authentic" Beaujolais of quality.

Tasted double blind. Purplish. Ripe fraise des bois, blueberry and cherry. A little candy like and extracted. Correctly guessed Chermette, Moulin 2006 as this is a wine I had last Feb. Not my cup of tea as I found it a little too extracted and fruit fwd.

(Domaine de Vissoux Moulin A Vent "Les Trois Roches") The 2006 is a lovely drink today. On Day 1 it was all soft yet sleekly structured red and black fruits with a lovely velvety texture. It squished in the mouth as the acid melded with the fruit beautifully. The nose offered raspberry, blueberry and occasionaly some baking spices plus some lovely earth. Capped it back up and went to sleep and the next day the tannins spread out more on the palate but it did not lose one bit of its focus. There was a more meaty savory element to the nose and it became distinctly more sauvage with that still outstanding purity of fruit. It still retained that tiny berry squish which I loved from day one. I say this has 4-8 more years of life ahead of it but is a lovely drink today and no crime to pop open a bottle with some cote de boeuf.

Showing weirdly old, like a Beaujolais tawny.
