  • Great to be back to this vintage of exemplary Chianti after one year. Made from single varietal of Sangiovese, aged for 22 months in FR oak, 70% new, 8 months in ceramic and 14 months in bottle. Once again its a pleasure to enjoy it from magnum. Concentrated fragrant aroma of cherries, roses, violets, cassis, tobacco, herbs, leather. Medium+ body, just like in aroma, same at palate, not much change over a year with velvety and elegant structure, great concentration, medium+ refined tannins, long finish.

  • This is mesmerizing Chianti produced by the noble Mazzei family which is making wines since 1435. Ipsus comes from a 6.5ha single “Clos” vineyard Il Cagio. Aged for 22 months in FR oak, 70% new, 8 months in ceramic and 14 months in bottle. Tasted it from magnum over two days. Concentrated aroma of cherries, tobacco, lavender, cassis, leather, dried violets, dry herbs. Medium+ body, velvety and elegant texture goes in harmony with concentrated flavours, lively acidity and mouth coating sandy tannins, long finish.
