  • Beginning its preferred plateau. Well-lifted, full(-) body, this required about 2 hours in decanter before it was fully expressive. Red/Dark red fruits, good grip/tension, plenty of soil character, with minerals, loam and sous bois. This was a joy to drink; elegant food wine. A bit pricey unless you get it at the cantina. Thru 2024. recommended

  • not sure I like the direction this wine is headed. a couple years ago, it was floral, complex and had a pretty spectacular finish. the floral elements have turned a little band-aid-y and this has become the dominant flavor/aroma. not nearly the complexity I remembered. has nice acidity and went well with chicken pesto empanadas, but me thinks this is very overpriced for what it is. I suspect we'll drink up the 2005 and 2007's rather than letting them age.

jumped the judgement gun by a mile. day 2 - seemed doa, boring and one dimensional.

day 3 - best of the lot. rich deep fruit, funkiness of what must the the furmin? or tourette?. good slice of acidity. still overpriced but very delicious.
