Heat-damaged bottle that I opened anyway. It was mistakenly shipped during a heat wave and several bottles had extended corks. Alas. Still, it was still very drinkable. It clearly hinted at what it should have been (deep black fruit, lush tannins, smoke, spice, great potential). I'll open a 2019 soon and will post a note on that one. Glad I didn't just pour it down the drain. :-)
