Far too young, but I was curious to see how it was tasting. Inexpressive upon opening, but began to display some unripe peach aromas. I left it another day and it was showing far more - a remarkable marzipan intensity, and a touch of vanilla pod. I didn't sense much varietal character, but profoundly interesting nevertheless.

This bottle doesn’t carry the Roches Neuves name, but there you go. Chalky, citrusy nose. Lean bodied, high acidity, very fresh and pure. Like squeezed lemon juice with marks of green apples and chalk. Very young and tight, but delicious nonetheless. 12.5% alc.

Fresh notes of peaches, imbided in acid to keep the impression of Chenin.
