NobleRottersSydney - Hidden Lable Night (Glass Brasserie, Sydney): {screwcap, 14.5%} [Andrew] Classic minty nose – and indeed palate – I always associate with Leconfield. There’s a bit of spice on the palate though. Low/medium acid, medium weight overall. Friendly tannins, short/medium length. Others like this a lot more than I – just the way it goes I guess. CD$36, AK$17

An fragrant and concentrated Leconfield Cabernet Sauvignon which was aged in 50% new French oak for 18 months prior to bottling. Cassis and cinnamon on the nose leading to a medium bodied palate rich with blackberries, plums, and violets. Finishes with super silky tannins. will be better after a few years in the cellar

Coonawarra Roadshow (Masonic Hall, Goulburn street): Raspberry, cranberry both over blackcurrant, sweet spice, slight mint in support. Medium plus intensity acidity, drying talc textured tannins dominate the red over black fruit. Hmm.
