  Deep ruby color. Med(+), youthful aromas of cassis, blueberry, smoke, beef, vanilla. Off dry, agressive mousse, med(+) body, med(-) acidity, soft, non-existent tannins, high alcohol, med(+) finish. My first experience with this style. Definitely of a fruity side of Shiraz/Syrah on the nose but it’s more juice-like on the palate due to lack of acidity. More complex than I expected for the style but also not as good as I expected for the price. Alcohol is a little too prominent even at a lower temperature. Drink now.
