The thing about these wines is that they never offend me. They're always pretty drinkable, unless they get too sweet (looking at you, US grocery store offerings...). That said, they feel a tad maniuplated and are kind of boring. But again, never offensive. I do get angry when Sancerre, for example, is made to taste like NZ SB due to market demand; but that's hardly NZ's fault.
Grapefruit juice, lemon juice, white pepper, wet stone on the nose. The palate adds green bell pepper, gooseberries, the classic "cat pee" note and is overall less primary than the nose. In fact, the palate is quite mineral driven. This is crisp, clean and a texrtbook example of this style.
Medium body with medium + acid.
