  • The nose is open and giving after about a half hour with red plums, raspberries, dark red cherries, herbs, baking spices, violets, and crush rocks. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and refined with crisp, medium+ acid and silky, medium tannins. This is my first time with a Fanny Sabre and in many ways, I don't know how to feel/react. As a Pommard, I just don't see it. As a delicious Pinot Noir, it's absolutely there. I would like to see where this goes with some age, but I'm not sure it'll ever really bring that rustic charm that I love from the village.
