  • Big wine, a bit of a fruit bomb, but a VERY sophisticated fruit bomb.

And 2 hours in the fruit bomb has dissipated.

Ripe Tempranillo in the Ribera school, but with less structure, more jam, and a bit more scorched earth. Modify that, Ribera crossed with Rioja for that barrel-age-aroma light nose.

Adder 2+ hours in. This is a beautifully rich, velvety, forward, yet elegant wine. I really like it a lot. and its great with food, at least meat and cheese.

I'm trying to place the nose. Forceful but not "etoh hot", both nose and palate yell raspberries, raspberry jam/ kirsch liquor. Some spice and vanilla/oak as well ( a hint of Rioja mixed in).

    Very seductive.

Dark, but not particularly opaque. Ruby-purple, transparent rim.

As noted an aromatic wine, with both fruit and spice/vanilla components. Nose matches well to the palate.

Palate is medium body, much alike a rioja. I dont detect much dirt or similar - its quite "pure" in both nose and taste.

Finish is pretty long, and its only been open a little while.

    Its growing on me.

This will undoubtedly mature and change over the years, but its ready now - not at all tight or green

  • A nose of dark fruits and spices, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with blackberry, plum, vanilla and spice on finish, was very good. www.winelx.com
