  Dark as midnight and ripe fruited on the nose without a whole lot of detail at first but getting brighter in the glass, eventually displaying pretty nice nuances in the way of wet rocks, flowers and faint spiciness. On the palate it comes off as heady and relatively powerful with the alcohol (14%) raising its head a bit. A lot of body and structure here, nice tannins though that grip but are in check. Initially felt very modern and backwards but got more harmonious and civilized over time and started to express its origins more. Not showing a whole lot right now and it is clearly a product of its vintage but could turn out well eventually.
