It’s a medium-bodied Alpine red, the best kind of red. This bottle was too bretty tho - band-aids and medicinal notes. I’m not always anti-brett but it didn’t really work for me here. Better with more air.

Again, I find this wine to be a very good buy. For 15 bucks you won't find many medium bodied wines that are as nicely balanced and nuanced as this one.

Was a huge fan of the 2018 vintage and this one did not disappoint. Bright red mountain nebbiolo cherry and fennel with some roses. Savory, herbal finish with a kiss of sweetness and some tannins in support. Delicious and something I always want to have at the ready.

All wine, no poker, Vol. 2 (Needham, Mass.): Thanks to Mitch: A high-altitude Nebbiolo clone, resulting in a refreshingly unpretentious wine -- light body, high acidity, crunchy and savory, with a little funk, and a slightly wild herbal quality (rosemary and lavender), with some cherry fruit and a bit of leather.
