Smooth black cherry, fairly light on the pepper, and the wet gravel notes I always find in Lodi wines only joined the party after about 1/2 hour or so. Enjoyable wine, definitely Lodi but very calm for a Zin.

  This gifted gentle red cherry cough syrup reminds me of bad New England hybrid reds easily avoided, though in fairness to The Best Coast, I'm sure they make exponentially more bad conventional reds also easily avoided
