Pale garnet in the glass. Nose of violets, ripe plum, strawberry, redcurrant, some wet earth. Medium-bodied with moderate tannins and acidity. Not much depth on this, I feel it's on the decline already.

I hadn't had any wine for a few weeks so this was a full sensory experience, partly because of that.
An unmistakable Nebbiolo, you can feel the characteristic grapeskin taste at the the back of the top palate right away, like you feel after you have actually eaten a lot of black grapes. This is a big wine (you notice that at the first whiff) with notes of black fruit, java plum, blackberries. You feel the tannins but they are very well integrated, almost a fine grainy texture - And the wine gives a sense of firm balance - with a bit of complexity. The finish is long and memorable. Will go great with a dinner, but it is perfectly enjoyable on its own.
Can drink now or keep for a while, I will sample these in the coming years and expect to see further development.
