  • Dinner at Trippi restaurant in Sondrio with a bottle of Chiavennasca from probably the finest producers in Valtellina. Comes from sub-region of Inferno where vineyards as in most of Valtellina are separated in tiny terraces. Inferno is know for its devilish hot conditions and steepness where most of harvests are carried out by helicopters. Intense pure aroma of smoky strawberries, cherries, rose petals, dried hibiscus. Medium body, fragrant, complex and elegant, full of finesse red fruits and extra fine tannins.
