I'm not disagreeing with previous TNs but a couple hours of aeration and this wine is quite drinkable. Yes, there are tannins but plenty of fruit. One of my better purchases from Cameron Hughes. Grade of B+ with room for improvement.

Double decanted then put the cork halfway in. Finally opened it 7 days later and it was really good. Medium to full bodied, clear dark garnet appearance, good tannin's, new world style. Great QPR

This wine is a lot of work but the ROI is in positive territory now. Decanted 7 hours split across 2 bottles. Medium weight, gritty tannins. Good balance of savoury & fruity. Nice with grilled rack of lamb. Range of ratings over past 24 months has been 87 to 91 for me. 91 may have been irrationally exuberant bu this is a good wine.

Very good, but very closed up. Was best on day 3, but clearly needed more time. Deep, dark, rich, with gobs of baking spices, rich purple fruit, and leather.
I had the opportunity to try this a few months back, where the person serving it, decanted it a full 24 hours. It was more open and delicious. I would have scored it likely ~93, but it was clear it could still use more time. My process was a vinovac each night, but still closed up.
I believe this will improve with time.

Last of my #50s, and very similar notes to last time Noticed the tannins more this time, and oak was less well integrated than the last time. Overall similar impression.
