Young guns of Burgundy: Tasted double blind. Clear, deep inky ruby color. Reductive, complex nose, some fat and speck, herbs. High acidity, beautiful tanning structure, reductive, fine red fruit. Beautiful tension, energy and concentration. Very deep and long. Serious, but also very juicy and joyful to drink. One of my WOTN. 93-94

A "cult" wine tasting and lunch (Restaurant Bak, Amsterdam, NL): Bottle No. 222 from 254 bottles produced. Clearly reminiscent of Prieuré-Roch in style. Beautifully layered cherry and peach fruit, papery but firm tannins, incredibly floral, hint of black pepper, clean and transparent, tight and youthful finish. No an obvious wine, but there is real quality here.
