Community Tasting Notes (3)

  • color: lemon-green
first day: hazelnut and a touch of pastry, yeast, and dough
the palate didn't really come together, somewhat fluid and acidity not well integrated, despite pouring this into a carafe an hour beforehand.
third day: now, this really came together.
nose: wet stone, citrus fruit, unripe peaches
palate: electric acidity with herbal and saline notes, long finish
    profits from air and temperature.
I'd suggest to give this at least another three years. a chassagne not in the rich, textured tradition but with a leaner, more contemporary profile

  • This is starting to drink really well. A bright nose of fresh orchard fruits, white flowers and flint. Good shape and detail in the mouth. Plenty of mineral and a big squeeze of lemon. Lovely balance, and excellent cut and persistence.

  • Very much yellow fruited. Some mineral and light spice too. Linear with good detail. A nice entrée into the village and a wine that has the requisite depth to age well over the mid-term.
