Killed the last bottle of this one; at perfect maturity (only downhill from here). What a great value this was, 1er quality in an otherwise modest village wine!

The morey I drink these, the morey I love them. (Sorry, couldn't leave that one out there hanging over the plate) Another stunning bottle of what's supposed to be a "simple" village wine. Clear signs of development (golden color, mature notes on nose and palate - right at peak), full throttle deliciousness of just-ripe apple and classic WB minerality and power. Laser focus and brisk acidity carry it all through to a brilliant, long finish. A great showing, great value and it brings sadness to have just one left. Looks like I should thank the folks at JJ Buckley for this one.

Served this blind to an experienced group of burg lovers as previous bottles impressed me for being simply a village wine: Best bottle of it yet, quite airy and delicate yet possessing great citrus and minerality; steely backbone, one person was convinced it was the gran cru wine in the pairing. Considerable bottle variability as the last one tried was fairly advanced and more complex. Others scored this bottle even higher.

Medium golden color that gave me pause; but beautiful, rich golden apple and classic Chard nose alleviated the worry; viscous, rich nectar texture, good acidity and quite long finish of a fully mature and delicious WB. From a ripe, warm year, some of the qualities made me think there was at least a hint of botrytis in this. Excellent wine!
